At Matrix Gen, we are proud to introduce a new era in sustainable aquaculture. With our state-
of-the-art hatchery and 62 acre Hybrid Grouper fishery plant, we are dedicated to redefining
the standards of quality, efficiency, and environmental stewardship in the seafood industry. As
a company deeply rooted in the principles of innovation and sustainability, we strive to lead
the way towards a more resilient and responsible future for aquaculture.

The first Hybrid Grouper is a cross-bred fish species by researchers from University Sabah
Malaysia (UMS) in collaboration with researchers from UMS Borneo Institute of Oceanography
Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM), and the Modern University of Japan. The
Hybrid Grouper is created by in vitro fertilization (IVF) fertilization of the eggs of the tiger stripe
(Mycteroperca Tigris) with the sperm of the giant grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus).
